Ephesians 2:11-13 The Message (MSG)
11-13 But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ. You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large. Now because of Christ—dying that death, shedding that blood—you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything.
Oh what good is it to live
With nothing left to give
Forget but not forgive
Not loving all you see
Oh the streets you're walking on
A thousand houses long
Well that's where I belong
And you belong with me
Not swallowed in the sea
If you have ever been in love; or perhaps even with the love of family; we have a sense of belonging.
You have probably thought it a time or two about another person,
"I don't know where I would be today without ______ !"
Some people complete our lives. Its awesome that God indeed knows what good and perfect gifts to give us.
Now think about where the world would be, civilization, and yourself...had it not been for Christ.
Through His work....death on the cross...and rising from the grave, He opened up the door of heaven for you and me to enter. Peace, joy, hope, and a life of promise is what He brings to us...as a deposit...of all the blessings that are in store for His family.
HE COMPLETES YOU.....not swallowed in the sea.
