Everything's Not Lost (Live 2003) - Coldplay

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

To be more than a conqueror is amazing. Just to be a conqueror is enough but to be more than one is what we have in Christ Jesus.

When you're looking at all your trouble, you loose sight of the blessings. Instead, count your blessings and see all that God has done.
When you thought that it was over
You could feel it all around
And everybody's out to get you
Don't you let it drag you down
 2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

Please enjoy this live version of Everthing's Not Lost. Follow the song through to the very end. Don't spare the volume; and apply these verses to your walk with Christ.

No matter what the hardship or struggle you find yourself in; Everything's Not Lost
He loves you!!

Trouble - Coldplay

Psalm 10:1-3

Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
who are caught in the schemes he devises.
He boasts of the cravings of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.

King David is the most beloved king is Israel's history. He was also a musician that wrote Psalms which were put to music and appropriately sung in worship much like our worship music today.

The beauty of King Davids Psalms (songs) is that he was an original "Coldplay" in expressing emotions and spiritual cravings into musical poetry. The range of physical and spiritual needs that he addresses are without reservation. He is rejoicing in the God of his salvation in one Psalm and...lamenting over his hardships in the next.

God has given the Psalms for us to identify with David, a spiritual giant; to understand that we are human...and the problems we face in this troubled world are normal...even for a King.

Trouble abounds;
In the most unlikely places, at the most untimely hour....as if...     they spun a web for you.

God waste no pain.
Even when we lose our composure, His purpose is that we never lose our confidence;
We learn that God is faithful....and, that we are never tempted above that which we are able. He will provide a way of escape.

The Scientist - Coldplay

Colossians 3: 16-19
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19 He has lost connection with the Head...

Much like this hit song from Coldplay, you can over analyze bible principles and doctrine to the point where its like pulling puzzles apart.

Apparently during the Apostle Paul's day their were those who were dissecting and chasing theories that had little to do with walking daily in the Spirit. He said of those, that plunged into such matters, that they had lost connection with the head. The head is Christ, and the gospel; His death, burial, and resurrection.

Whatever your study; whether it be eschatology, cosmology, or mythology, don't let it pull you away from the simple message of the gospel that redeems you. Christ died for your sins; He was buried; and He rose again. Be a good scientist, but stay connected to the head

I Surrender - Hillsong Live

Isaiah 48:10-12 (NIV)

See, I have refined you, though not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this.
How can I let myself be defamed?
I will not yield my glory to another.
12 “Listen to me, O Jacob,
    Israel, whom I have called:
I am he;
I am the first and I am the last.

What would be a good synonym for the word surrender? The word is rarely used in the bible. Oftentimes modern words replace older or ancient ones. The language of the bible had a word for surrender; in the sense of giving up to the submission of another.

That word is: Yield.

The only place you have probably seen this word is on the expressway. The term yield, in traffic law, means to surrender authority; to move over; to submit.

Jesus is Lord. This applies even if we do not acknowledge Him. e.g. to not acknowledge the office of the president of the United States.  He or she is still the president, whether you admit it or not.

The proper respect to Christ Jesus as Lord of our life is to yield/surrender to His authority. Once we yield to what is already true, we show maturity, respect, reverence, and submission. This step in our walk with Him will broaden our mind to see the scope of His Lordship. To know that He is Lord of all and that He is my friend, savior, and redeemer is quite frankly...something to brag about.

Coldplay - See You Soon - Trust

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This song is about loosing trust and confidence. This can happen so subtle cant it? Loving, living, and feeling requires risks. When we take risk we get let down. What you thought was true and permanent has failed; causing a rip tide of emotions that come out of nowhere; leaving you skittish about...everything.

Noo you lost your trust
Noo you lost your trust
Noo don't lose your trust
Noo don't lose your trust

Their is one constant. God loves you and He will never forsake you.
Stay focused on His permanent, endearing love...for YOU...will guide you through the frailties of life. We live in a broken world. Reminders of just how broken it is...can...if we allow it...break our own trust and hope.

Learning how to love, live, feel, and risks without loosing HOPE is anchored in an absolute conviction that nothing ever separates us from the love of God. He sets us free to live life full and abundant.

Coldplay - In My Place - Hurting Words

Romans 12:17-19

(NIV1984)
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] says the Lord.

This is such a great song by Coldplay. Again, the lyrics are interpersonal and can be left up to your interpretation. Whatever the meaning, the lyrics describe an unpleasant circumstance with another.

I was lost, I was lost
Crossed lines I shouldn't have crossed
I was lost, oh yeah

Learning how to express your feelings without regret can be a delicate art; one that takes a lot of trial and error. As a child of God, we learn that we should never wish or harbor ill will toward anyone. Perhaps the first step in living in harmony with those around you is to pray for blessing upon them instead of a curse; even when they are less than kind to you.

Luke 6:28
bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

I know this is difficult but it really works. Praying for your "irregular relationships" will help in placing the issue in Gods hands. His guidance will bring peace to your heart.

X&Y - Coldplay - Unfinished Business

Matthew 5:48 (CEB)

Therefore, just as your heavenly Father is complete in showing love to everyone, so also you must be complete.

You and me are floating on a tidal wave...
Together
You and me are drifting into outer space...
And singing

I suspect it's very hard to float on a tidal wave. It would be more like white water rafting. And as far drifting into outer space goes...well... that would be your last drifting...to anywhere!

Do you have your XYZ's together?
To have only X & Y means something is missing.

Jesus said that we should be complete, not lacking anything. I don't think Jesus expects us to be super Christians. He did that for us. He does however expect us to stay close to Him in our walk; to pray often; to confess our sin; keep our heart pure; and fellowship with other believers.

Ephesians 6:14-17 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The basics are like a NFL uniform. Can you imagine playing 4 quarters without a helmet?
Complete in Christ is to be fully equipped in the uniform of faith.

Say (All I Need) OneRepublic

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

I said I all I need
Is the air I breathe
And a place to rest
My head

Whenever the end is

Do you think you can see it?
Well, until you get there
Go on, go ahead and scream it
Just say it

Its good to have self confidence but to think that you're in need of NO ONE...is fool hearted.

If anyone needed no help from others it would have been Christ Jesus...but even the Lord had the 12 disciples. When He wept in the garden, before His crucifixion, He needed the physical companionship and prayer support of Peter, James, and John.

I'm a quite person by nature and much of a loner, but sometimes my walk with Christ needs a human touch and I need to be rescued...even from myself. Don't let the independence of pride defeat you. The unpredictability of life can derail your progress. God may use another persons gift of discernment to help you. Open your heart and spirit to a trustworthy friend. Lets face it, the labyrinth of life is made easier with the unconditional love and support of loyal companions.

 Proverbs 24:16
for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

The righteous fall just like everyone else...but with Gods help and good friends we get up and press on. The Lord is our dearest friend. His love for you is greater than any other. He sticks close by. With His help and the support of Christian friends, we keep getting up.

As Rocky said, "Its not about getting hit, its about getting back up...you've gotta get back up."

Paradise - African style - ThePianoGuys

1 Corinthians 2:9     (NIV)
“No eye has seen,
    no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him”

ThePianoGuys did a great job on this one...as usual

I suppose paradise is a relative term, e.g. I love the ocean but my mother is terrified by it.

What is "Paradise" to you? When I was a little boy my dream of heaven was that of swimming in a bowl of chocolate pudding. That has changed a little over the years. Heaven to me now would have to be an endless slice carrot cake & a cup of coffee. haha

You see...the definition of Paradise is personal and relative to your likes, dislikes, experience, dreams, etc.

Heaven is a real place.
A destination for some very very special people.
It is the future home of a particular group that for millennium have wandered the earth as homeless pilgrims, strangers, and sojourners. As children of God, our home is where He is...and our joint-heir...Jesus Christ.

Our future residence will have extraordinary amenities. Our discomfort here is due to our birth right from the Father, our relationship with Christ, and our affiliation with the body of Christ, the church.
Our heavenly home, is in part, our reward and resort...for all eternity
Its description is....
                        .....Luxury is not the word
                             .....Neither is it opulence
.....Indulgent, Palatial, none of these apply. These are worldly descriptions and rooted in pride, wealth, greed, & arrogance.

Its description is....
In the language of a Resort Vacation GUIDE...
...From the landscape to the architecture
...From the clientele to the itinerary
...From the schedule to the key note speaker
...From the fashion to the buffet
...From the concierge to the transportation

It is simply...
It is...
Its just......well.....

PARADISE

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

 1 Corinthians 13  (NIV)
13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Theres one word that seperates God from every other religion; LOVE.
God is the author of love; in fact, the bible says that He is love.

Regardless of what you think about God...you benefit from His most notable attribute.
Love is a gift. We share it in relationships, we appreciate it among friends, and we can even discover it among strangers.

God shares good gifts to all people. Even the Lords salvation through Jesus Christ was shared with all people, however not all recieve His gift.

Knowing Him is...to know love.
To be loved by Him is...divine.
To share this love that I have in my heart is...a God-like act.

The scripture today says that love should be the premise for all that we do. If we discover that we have any other motive, then our efforts are in vain.

God offers all people...hope and a future. Why???  Because that's how He loves. Gods deepest desire for all creation is to enjoy fellowship with Him and to have everlasting life. He proved His love by giving His son to seal the deal. Now that's love.

Do we love with this kind of devotion. Love is never wrong. It may be said too much...when its fake. But the words alone are not enough. The best love is...DEMONSTRATED.

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough...

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

Lost - Coldplay

 Jeremiah 50:6
(NIV1984)
“My people have been lost sheep;
their shepherds have led them astray
and caused them to roam on the mountains.
They wandered over mountain and hill
and forgot their own resting place.

Have you ever been lost; in a city or in the woods?
There are certain kinds of lost. We sometimes use the word lost if we are confused. You might also use the word if you've lost your sense of direction.

The picture that Jesus used is that of a lost coin. Something that belongs to you; is of great value and is no longer in your possession and nowhere to be found.

A situation that worsens this scenario would be if no one cares  and no one is looking for what is LOST.

When I was about 11 years old, my mother and I went to Lansing Michigan to visit relatives. One afternoon I wandered too far from the neighborhood and got turned around. My attempt to find my way back only led me further from home. I spent hours lost in the city. Eventually I went inside a grocery store and told the manager I was lost. Fear had gripped my heart to the point I could barely whisper my name. A patrol officer was called in and to my surprise, my disappearance had already been reported. I was looking for "home" and "home" was looking for me!!!

Luke 19:10  from the Message translation says, "For the Son of Man came to find and restore the lost.”
To be spiritually lost is to be without hope, without God in the world.
But I have good news...Someone is looking for you!!!

The Lord is seeking the Lost.
He is looking for you. Are you looking for Him?
My prayer is that the seeking sinner and the seeking Savior will soon meet!!!

You might be a big fish
In a little pond
Doesn't mean you've won
'Cause along may come
A bigger one
And you'll be lost

At the Cross - Hillsong

Colossians 1:21-23   (MSG)
You yourselves are a case study of what he does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God, thinking rebellious thoughts of him, giving him trouble every chance you got. But now, by giving himself completely at the Cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God’s side and put your lives together, whole and holy in his presence. You don’t walk away from a gift like that!

Jesus deserves every ounce of our allegiance and devotion because of what He accomplished for us. He did something for us that we were unable to do...He made things right with God for us.

Our sin seperated us from God.
We were doomed to die without hope, lost for all eternity.

The penalty for sin is death. To enter heaven...to stand in Gods presence...requires sinless perfection. We were unable to achieve this...but JESUS did.

First He took the penalty for our sin. On the cross...Jesus died our death.
Then, he washed us clean. He gave us a new spirit.
Now we can enter Gods heaven and presence having been washed by the blood of Gods sacrificial lamb.

Oh how He loves you and me.

Enjoy this video.

The Hardest Part - Coldplay

Psalm 119:103
(NIV1984)
103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Coldplay lyrics are deliberately subjective with intentional spiritual references. (Allison and I call them Gods Secret Service)

The Shakespearean prose of the "King James" language makes good poetry and lyrics. Perfect for Martin's stylistic, artistic writing.

There are many things God wants to share with you; blessings that He has in store. God enjoys giving good gifts to His children. Some of these blessings are found in His word. Notice I didn't say hidden. Why would God hide something from you?

Blessings in His word are like me slipping a gift card to Starbucks in your bible. You read your bible....Right?...so the next time you have a quiet time with the Lord, you get a special surprise from me. What if you never opened your bible?
Well...your going to miss out on what God wants to show you, and...free coffee. :)

God wants to bless you through His word...
In His word...
By His word...

The word of God should be like honey in your mouth, or...like your favorite treat .
Why...because Gods word is alive. Unlike any other word...this WORD is active. As you read it...it reads you, and reveals Gods purpose, plan, and future.

What is the hardest part?
For me it is to learn about how special I am to God
and...wanting to help others see the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

I could feel it go down
You left the sweetest taste in my mouth
You're a silver lining the clouds
Oh and I
Oh and I
I wonder what it’s all about
I wonder what it’s all about

Lovers In Japan - Coldplay

2 Timothy 2: 1-5
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.

Viva La Vida album confirmed my suspicion that Coldplay was up to something divine with their music.

As a student, you know what it means to have discipline; applying your mind to study, work your part time job, write papers, keep up with your cell bill, etc,. Giving up is not an option. Laziness can undermine everything your working toward. Your familiar with the one that always takes the easy way out. Remember the guy from last semester?

Perseverance is the motto for athlete's, soldiers, and even farmers. They know that if they keep on with their regiment of training and preparing that eventually they will enjoy the fruit of their labor.

Your spiritual walk is no different.
Practicing the fundamentals of spiritual success will eventually reap dividends that are immeasurable.

These routines are:
Reading Gods word and applying it to your life.
Sharing your blessings with others.
Kindness toward others, even when they are unkind to you.
Loving others, especially the unlovely.
Supporting; giving to the Lords work.
Speaking the truth. Avoiding gossip and backbiting.
Honoring those in authority; including mom & pop.

Shortcuts to spiritual progress is like the sloppy athlete who expects to be world class while skipping workouts.

Now is the time to soldier on, to pace yourself in the run. The finish line is just ahead. Don't stop now.
Keep On Keeping On

Lovers, keep on the road you're on
Runners, until the race is run
Soldiers, you've got to soldier on
Sometimes even right is wrong

 1 Corinthians 9:24-25
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Hurts Like Heaven - Coldplay

Hebrews 12:5-6
And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children?[a] He said,
“My child,[b] don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and don’t give up when he corrects you.
For the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.

Lyrics???
Another mystery of Martin
I'm not sure what the phrase, "Hurts like Heaven"  means...but it can't be all that bad can it?

Haven't you experienced Gods correction or discipline? That would be a good explanation of hurts like heaven. As you walk with Christ, in fellowship with Him...total surrender, you will be faced with your own shortcomings. An aspect of growing in Him is to expect the Lord to confront the areas in our life where we fall short of the glory of God. We all fall short don't we? Expect to have some hurt....but hurt like heaven!!

God know what is best for you...today and everyday.
God will speak to your spirit as a guide, to encourage, and admonish. I have a few areas where I know without a doubt what God has said clearly..."NO John Mark." If I rebel and say..."I'm gonna do it anyway." There will be some reckoning and consequence.

If I remain stubborn, the discipline for my sin becomes foolish on my part.
You want to have Heavenly Hurt; you're dealing with your issues appropriately.
But...you should try your best to avoid..."hurts like hell". Ya get my drift!!!

Strawberry Swing - Coldplay

Romans 12:15-16

 (NIV1984)
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[a] Do not be conceited.

Coldplay makes numerous references to stepping outside the box to follow your heart.

From the very first time I heard this song, the imagery that passed through my mind was the Mountain Dew commercial of guys swinging off the river bank into the water, "Do The Dew."

Enjoy the swing...but my challenge for you is to help someone else enjoy the swing. This life is hard and even harder for others. God has richly blessed you and its time for you to consider another and be a blessing to them.

People moving all the time
Inside a perfectly straight line
Don't you wanna curve away?
When it's such…
It's such a perfect day
It's such a perfect day

Awakening - Hillsong

Ephesians 5:13-15

New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:
“Wake up, O sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,

Before you listen to this YouTube, find a secluded place and focus your heart heavenward. This song is the most captivating worship hymn I've ever heard...so be thoughtful and prepare your time of devotion. This song, "Awakening", is performed by Hillsong before thousands of young worshipers.

You can imagine the message in song as it describes the Holy Spirit working in our hearts. To be spiritually "awakened" is an experience that is reserved only for the children of God. Its difficult to define, but undoubtedly real.

Spiritual mountain top moments, although brief, give us manna from heaven, and a taste of the divine nature; reminding us that this world is not our home.

God is your Father; Christ is your Redeemer; the Spirit is your comforter; and Gods word is alive in you. The temporal world in which we live will attempt to snuff out your heavenly nature. Spiritual songs like "Awakening" fuels the flame of the Holy Spirit within, igniting and renewing our passion for righteousness.

Like the rising sun that shines
From the darkness comes a light
I hear Your voice say
This is my awakening

Life In Technicolor ii - Coldplay - Full Color

 Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

You'll get a kick out of this hilarious video. It's obvious these four guys are having the time of their lives.

Black and white photos are cool to look at; an important tool for artists. Technicolor however is a more accurate description; e.g. a black and white advertisement of a Caribbean resort hotel wouldn't help with time shares. A full color Ad, of the same resort, showing the radiant sun, blue water, sandy beaches...technicolor to the highest resolution, could potentially triple sales.

This is a perfect metaphor of life in Christ.
Black and white is a picture of life, but technicolor is the fullness of life.

A relationship with the Lord is to know the true essence of joy, peace, and happiness. Salvation is like waking up from the grey to a new world of color.

Nurture your relationship with Christ. The world around you could benefit from your radiance and color.
You are not invisible like the pale shadows of others; you are salt and light with a splash of pizazz.

Oh love, don't let me go
Won't you take me where the street lights glow? I
could hear rain coming, I could hear the sirens sound
Now my feet won't touch the ground

Talk - Coldplay - Resolution

Amos 3:3

King James Version (KJV)
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

It was reported that years ago the multi-instrumentalist & drummer Will Champion walked out on the band for over a week. Chris Martin, a non-drinker, was so upset, that he became highly intoxicated.

An episode such as this could very well be the inspiration for the hit song... "Talk".

Misunderstanding, disagreements, and frustration between individuals is common. Maturity is knowing how to navigate through these arguments to a peaceful; agreeable resolution.

You may notice that compromise is not an option for some people...and that's unfortunate. Pride and the unwillingness to admit wrong doing has been the death of many many great ideas and movements.
Come on...somebody say, "my bad!"

When it comes to harmony and success...everyone must be on the same page; working toward the same goal. When tempers or arguments spill over and threaten the good thing you have going, perhaps its time to...TALK.

Coming to an agreement requires discussion. Discussion requires patience; Patience requires love... in allowing each other, as well as yourself, to share...without judgement...without tempers; seeking a positive outcome.

James 5:16
Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.

Its important to note that confessing your OWN weakness and sin could be just the right tone for a productive resolution. Airing out offences begins first with an examination of your own heart...and... to trust another with their evaluation of you.
OOHH...That can be tough.

Try this.
Agree that each will share a personal struggle or vice, with complete honesty.
Then...share a vision or dream. You will be encouraged by the presence of unity that will appear.

Agreeing & Confessing will lead to a WIN  WIN

Viva La Vida - Coldplay - Abundant

John 10:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Viva La Vida - Live the Life

According to the words of Jesus there is only one life to live and that is the abundant life in Him.

The apostle Peter says that God has rescued us from the "empty way of life". That is the description of life without God and without hope or future...empty.

Regardles of what you believe about God, salvation, or eternity, you only have (1) one life; its happening right now.
So...what are you doing with this life you have?

I meet so many young students that choose to ignore and even run from anything spiritual.
Its their impression that doing the "Jesus thing" would interfere with their dreams and plans of living a FULL life.

I have good news for you.
God created this world and He wants you to enjoy a full and meaningful life too.
The means in which He has provided...for the abundance of life...is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Lord is "The LORD".
As the author and creator of this life and eternity, its impossible to know the fullness of living without Him !!

He does'nt hold you down...He sets you free.

He's the author of Viva-La-Vida.

1 John 5:11
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son

B Side...The world turned upside down - Coldplay - and right side up

Isaiah 30:21(NIV)

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears

will hear a voice behind you, saying,

"This is the way; walk in it."

Ooooh...that's a Big - O

...."Uh...we just say Bingo"

Don't you love this verse...
                                         a voice behind you...

Those who know the Lord have a tremendous help and advantage. God speaks to us

quietly; in our conscience; in our heart...and we emerge confident and victorious.

We're part of a bigger plan
Don't know what it is 365 degrees

I am a puzzle, you're the missing piece

To write your name in the summer sky

Life has really only just begun

Life that comes

And everything under the sun

365 degrees?

I called my smart friend and guess what?...there is no 365 degrees.

But there are 365 days a year.

That's the gist of Coldplay 365...following Christ everyday. (freaky huh)

And the life that comes...? Consider this your promise of eternity; to those who love Him.

He really will set your world, your eternity...RIGHT SIDE UP

Princess Of China - Coldplay & Rihanna - Anger

I Corinthians 13:4-7 & 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres...13...but the greatest of these is love.

Note to self: If you beat up girlfriend...
you might have a song written about you...
that climbs to #1 on the charts.

Hey, listen to me...violence is for the weak.
Character, integrity, and self-control are powerful attributes to posses.
Aggression or anger is a symptom of NO strength or control.

Its a discipline that must be brought to mind EVERYDAY

[Rihanna:]
Once upon a time, we burned bright
Now all we ever seem to do is fight
On and on...
And on and on and on...
Could of been a princess...you a king. Could of had a castle...

Violence will bring you no good thing. Violence toward your beloved...is insane.
Whether it's your parents, siblings, loved ones, or close friends, violence toward them uncovers a deep and dark spiritual problem.

Share your pain with someone...TODAY...; regardless of what end you're on.
If its the perpetrator, share your frustrations with a skilled counselor or pastor that can teach you how to conquer anger. Most importantly, as the receiver, tell God ALL your worries...and speak to someone in authority about your abuse.

Its not all about anger management...its about learning the greatest of these...LOVE... and and how to show it.

Could've had a castle, and worn a ring
But no, you let me go

And stole my star
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la [x3]

The Morning Star can restore what is broken.
Talk to Him...for He cares for you!!!

Coldplay- Spies - Fear

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,    he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

This is a great song about fear and how it can deceive us. Here's part of the lyrics.

I awake to find no peace of mind
I said, how do you live as a fugitive...

And the spies came out of the water
But you're feeling so bad cos you know
But the spies hide out in every corner
But you can’t touch them no
Cos they’re all spies

And the spies came out of the water
And you’re feeling so good cos you know
That those spies hide out in every corner
They can’t touch you no
Cos they’re just spies

Notice the line change from the first chorus to the last?

Check out the complete lyrics:    http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/coldplay/spies.html

Fear is the darkroom where Satan develops his negatives. To be seized with fear and all its side streets can affect everything. Health, confidence, hope, perseverance, optimism, future, promises, are all rendered ineffective when fear has seized our reigns.

Fear is a perception...and perception becomes reality for all people.
Notice the phrase, "you can't touch them no...because they're spies".

Then the truth is revealed that...oh...they're only spies,

"...but they can't touch YOU no....because they're just spies."

King David knew he had enemies but the Lord of hosts was his Shepherd. Therefore, all they could do is surround him and ...WATCH AS HE SAT AT THE BANQUET TABLE OF THE LORD, ANOINTED WITH OIL, CUP OVERFLOWING...PROTECTED BY GOD.

Talk to God about your fears. Ask Him to help you overcome the paralyzing effects of it.
Jesus says...be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Fear is NOT of God.

You can conquer your spies by learning more about your protector and shield
Truth is...the enemy can only snarl..cos they're just spies.

Coldplay~Shiver - Loved by You

Relationships can be tricky at any age. Your at the place now where its difficult to understand your own feelings much less the vibes you get from someone else.

Socrates said, "know thyself...". I guess he was pretty smart..huh?
Maturity in Christ relies on personal growth and confidence. Now would be a good time for you to accept yourself for how God made you; looks, personality, humor, ambitions, gifts all pressed into your skin makes you the precious soul that you are. Committing your life to Christ is to allow His mind to shape yours; and conform to His image.

The beauty of it is He wants you to be YOU...but under His leadership.
Listen to these lyrics;

Did you want me to change?
Well I changed for good
And I want you to know.
That you'll always get your way
I wanted to say,

Poor guy.
Don't cave in to the pressure by any other to be someone you're not.

Don't you Shiver?
Don't you Shiver?

Hailey's favorite adage is the Serenity prayer:

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference."

Unconditional love means "I love you for being...you; and any hang up in you or me is worth fighting for."

That's how Christ loves us;

1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Now that's some kind of love. Even when we were unlovable He still loved us.
Be you...and grow in Christ. That is a key to success for you and your relationships.
If your dancing to some others fiddle then its not the you we want to see.

And it's you I see, but you don't see me.
And it's you I hear, so loud and so clear
I sing it loud and clear.
And I'll always be waiting for you.

So I look in your direction,

But you pay me no attention,
And you know how much I need you,
But you never even see me.

 Give it up dude.
