The inspiration to begin Coldplay 365 came after several months of seeking God, research, and gentle nudging from family. Not long after publishing the first week or two, I went through a doubting stage. You know what that's like don't you?
It was the usual..."Nobody's gonna get this; this is a waste of time; God, is this what I'm to be doing?" Junk like that was swirling inside my head.
Later that week I helped in a funeral for a mother that lost her child. It was a heart wrenching situation. The family was out of touch with God and their church. The lead pastor came to me and was sharing his heart about the family and his love for them. He said that he wanted to help the family see Gods love; the child in His care; the hope of Paradise; to dream of Gods promise to all that trust Him.
Sounded Awesome.
Pastor David told me he had a special song to introduce his contemporary message for this young family. I asked him what it was. He said, "Paradise - by Coldplay".
My mouth dropped. It totally stunned me. I had just written Coldplay 365 ChristLine for the song Paradise that very morning
The funeral director came up later and apologized that he didn't have it.
Well, I knew I had it...on my phone that is. Not much good there. So...I stayed quiet
It would have been GREAT to here this. But it wasn't meant to be. Sure, I was a little disappointed...but unbeknownst to them God had removed my doubt that instant.
This is His project...
He will use this ministry to reach others.
God gave me assurance and I was grateful.
Moments later the director came up and whispered in my ear. "May I borrow your phone to plug into our system. I think you have a song I need...ParaPara Paradise. shuuuuubang!!!!
You should have seen my Holy grin.
For 30 minutes I listened to Paradise...
playing from my iPhone...
followed by a pastor who eloquently & powerfully shared the promise of heaven.
I could not believe it. What are the chances?
All my doubts were instantly erased.
My heavenly Father....in the most extraordinary way...DOUBLY affirmed Coldplay 365.
God will affirm His will....but ya gotta wait for it!!!!
