7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.

A famous preacher from the last century said..."the tongue is a flame of fire. God had to place it behind ivory bars...and in a pool of saliva to keep it cool."
Ooooh the damage a rush of blood to the head...flowing out the mouth can do.
Perhaps one of the more common instantaneous changes we experience when we come to Christ is we begin to recognize, maybe for the first time, what comes out of our mouth.
I've heard this testimony multiple times...that once born again as a child of God....a conviction comes regarding the temper and the tongue.
Well my friend...that's a good thing.
Listen to the Lord.....Not a rush of blood to the head!
