Square One - COLDPLAY

Psalm 103:8-12
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
    slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
    nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.



You just want 

Somebody listening to what you say 

Oh, you just want somebody listening to what you say 

It doesn't matter who you are 
It doesn't matter who you are 

Is there anybody out there who 
Is lost and hurt and lonely too 
Are they bleeding all your colors into one? 
And if you come undone 
As if you've been run through 
Some catapult it fired you 
You wonder if your chance will ever come 
Or if you're stuck in square one


Everyone seeks approval; to be heard; accepted; have a sense of worth and belonging. Many things in this world can grant these desires....temporarily.

Wealth can purchase these things. Praise from others with a slap on the back can raise your esteem for awhile. Power can muscle its way and take what it wants to satisfy your need.

But...the affirmation that we seek, the kind that sustains and settles our quest for identity comes from two things...

FORGIVENESS
&
UN-CONDITIONAL LOVE

When you capture the acceptance of others we begin to flourish and expand...we come out of our shell.
Even so...the LORDS approval and acceptance propels us to explode with assurance, confidence, and growth. We learn that His love and forgiveness can unlock so many mysteries in our life; our life takes on a new dimension of purpose....and not stuck in Square One

Ephesians 3:17-19

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
