This was played on the loud speaker the first day of open assembly at  Lee University.  Allison sent me a quick text: "you're not going to belive what they are playing for incoming freshmen...!"  Her year was starting off Coldplay style. :) If you research how Coldplay came up with the lyrics for this you will see a little bit into their genius. The first time I heard this; the scripture before you popped into my head. King David mentions the word tears more than any other author of the bible. The fact that God sees every teardrop we shed and that He lists them....makes me feel humbled and grateful that I have a God that loves me that much. The bible says that God is always attentive to a contrite heart. Jesus was said to never turn away from a smoldering reed. That would be us when we are broken, smoldering, and feeling snuffed out. He loves you.  To you...it may be a tear. To Him...Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. BTW - Every teardrop is a waterfall is referenced again in another MYLOXYLOTO song.  You know which one?

All of you could lists encounters, experiences, close calls, and dramatic rescues that leave no doubt that God was looking out for you. You've rehearsed it a thousand times how it all could have gone down...had it NOT been for some divine intervention. God truly watches over us day and night. Our life and eternity rests in His hands. Prospekt's March - Perseverance

	Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. The daily worries that each of us battle can be overwhelming at times. The world is a harsh environment and to succeed it takes extreme devotion, perseverance, and lots of dedication...often in the face of many obstacles. Serving the Lord faithfully during tough times can seem like a waste of energy. Also, when we get slammed with pressures from all sides we often become self-centered; seeing only ourselves. The song talks about hardships of not only you...but everyone around you. How often do we stop and think about what its like to walk in someones shoes? Their pain could be immense compared to yours. When the chorus says, "here I lie in my own separate sky...", it reminds me that we can make the choice...to make a difference. Especially in helping others persevere through hardships. The previous verse says, "...trying to get the other kind of control...but I wasn't one". You can be different in this maze we live in because you have the Lords help! Our scripture suggest that its normal to be weary in doing good to others when you have your own worries to consider. But, extending a hand to lift up someone else may be your secret to success.
