Their is great comfort in knowing that although people change, the Lord does not change. He feels the same way about you today than ever before. He loves you, cares deeply for you, and wants desperately to fill your heart and life with joy, peace, and abundant blessings. His love never ever fails.

You can call to Him. He's always...forever...faithful and just to forgive us, purify us, and prepare us for what is ahead.

God intends to slow you down. The best is in the small, still, quiet things.
He wants to show you things that you have blown past many times before.

In London, my wife and I stood in front of Buckingham palace in complete awe. Our tour guide pointed out the flag flying high above the palace. He said that the royal colors are flown (this is pre 9/11) when the Queen is in the residence.

Peace is a flag that is flown in the heart that says the King is in residence there.

The peace that the Lord brings to our life is a contentment and assurance that our life and eternity is in His hands.

You can know His peace.

That's called Grace.

What may be today....could all change tomorrow.

The good things we enjoy are by His grace.

The greatest hero is the Lord Jesus. He rescued us from sin, death, and hell. He saved us and He still saves today. He came to your rescue because He loves you. So much so...that He died for your sins.
Sin separates us from the heavenly Father and everything that is good.
The penalty of sin is death.
He couldn't stand for that.... so...Christ, sinless and pure, willingly died for us.
After He paid the penalty for our sin debt, He rose from the grave.

What a powerful song loaded with emotions and feelings for love lost or missed opportunity.

There is one love that will never let you go. 

This love of the Lord is unfailing and forever. 

Frequently, when we have wandered from God, the adversary, who is the father of lies, will whisper to you that God no longer loves you. Sin will even separate us from his love; oh...its not that He has changed, but you have!! Persistent hardships...transgressions...and personal/spiritual failure, over time, can erect a wall of separation between you and your heavenly Father. You and I lay each stone in the wall that divides us from his endearing....passionate love.

We notice a few warning signs of this along the way.  

God is the Island...and we pass Him by. Deliberately? 

Maybe...

....but often we're just too busy.

Come back to his warm embrace.

He is an island to discover

1 Corinthians 1:3-4
He is the compassionate Father and God of all comfort. 4 He's the one who comforts us in all our trouble so that we can comfort other people who are in every kind of trouble. We offer the same comfort that we ourselves received from God

Everyone needs to be held...by someone. Their are times that the only thing that can assuage the hurt and the pain of life is to be embraced. The human touch and the caress of another is divine.

I recently conducted a service for a family that had lost their father. The youngest son of the family was the same age of my Stephen. My heart was broken to see the tears stream down his face. It's hard to loose your dad...at any age...but particularly hard for a young man. At the end of the service, gravity pulled us together. We embraced for a short while. He said, "I love you..." !
And I barely knew him.

Christ has promised to be with us always. The presence of Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit in the earth and...through God children. God often touches us through the hands of another.

Come to Him; into His warm embrace!

This is what it means to be held

How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life

And you survive

This is what it is to be loved and to know

That the promise was that when everything fell

We'd be held

Sparks - Coldplay

Such a great love song. My oldest daughter and son-in-law selected sparks for their wedding bride/groom dance. Most couples share a song that is "their" song.

There are certain times that feelings of overwhelming love and joy fills my heart for the LORD. It doesn't happen all the time; but at times that I least expect it. The presence of the LORD...in my heart can bring me to tears of joy. Its not just a feeling...its more than a feeling (flashback)...its...an inexpressible joy and a peace that passes understanding.

You can have this joy and peace. It is possible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Talk to him now. For whoever calls upon the name of the LORD will be saved, Rom.10:13

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you...and... John 15:11  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you

You might see sparks when your heart is overwhelmed with the Joy and Peace from Christ Jesus our LORD.

You really need to memorize the Lords prayer. 
BTW It wasn't necessarily His prayer. It is actually a teaching tool He used with all His disciples.

Christ told them to pray in this way...
All the components of His model pray are loaded with success in following Him. From finding the Lords bread to sustain you each day...to protection from the wiles of Satan. Who wouldn't want to use this out line for all our praying?

You need to know what you believe and why. Study Gods word. Pray for wisdom. Be a good soldier for Christ and apply yourself to His word.

Where Is My Boy - Coldplay/Faultine

Luke 15:11-13 & 20

Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. ¹² The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

¹³ “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.

²⁰ So he got up (went back, [emphasis mine]) and went to his father.“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.


From the very time I heard this unusual sounding yet intoxicating lyrics I thought of the Prodigal son of Luke 15. There is no more beautiful passage of scripture that reveals Gods love for us.

Their is only one place where it recorded that God ran, and that is when he ran to me, took me in His arms, held me to His chest and said "My son is come home."

In nearly every case, we turn to God when we have hit rock bottom. But aren't you glad we can? This son rationalized that...maybe...just maybe...my father will let me come home.
Truth is, God has been watching for all of us to turn the bend...
... and make our way toward home.

And He would say..."where is my boy"

Come to Him today. He has been waiting for you.

MMIX/Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall - Coldplay

Galatians 5:16-18 (MSG)

My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

What is MMIX? Coldplay fans have racked their brain over this one. It has been refereed to as a Roman numeral date...a computer code and so on. Truth is, Coldplay said it was completely random and means absolutely nothing.

We have heard of how C Martin is compulsive like in naming the hit songs...after....oh.....hey, theirs a yellow phone book over their. Lets call it yellow...
Gotta love it.

My theory is that producer Brian Eno wanted the band to have an intro to Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. After Coldplay agreed on the tune they searched for its name. Somebody looked over at the sound board and say the MYLOXYLOTO  track sitting there. The sound man had written Mylo MIX on a jacket and walla...MMIX.   Makes good theory to me. 
BTW listening to MMIX leading into Every Teardrop is divine.

Regardless, what do you think about compulsive behavior? I used the Message translation for Galatians 5 so you could see that compulsion is how we walk in the Spirit. Following Christ, who is unseen, comes by way of the Spirit guide within is. Through Him we are prompted to serve, share, and do good to yourself and others.

I know you're thinking that their is a pill the take for OBC behavior. Haha, you're right.
However, walking in the Spirit of God is to hear an unseen and unspoken voice of guidance and direction.

Pleasing God is in action...
Bam...responding...in obedience to Him. Not irresponsibly but righteously.
