Trouble - Coldplay

Psalm 10:1-3

Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?
    Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
    who are caught in the schemes he devises.
He boasts of the cravings of his heart;
    he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.

 King David is the most beloved king is Israel's history. He was also a musician that wrote Psalms which were put to music and appropriately sung in worship much like our worship music today.

The beauty of King Davids Psalms (songs) is that he was an original "Coldplay" in expressing emotions and spiritual cravings into musical poetry. The range of physical and spiritual needs that he addresses are without reservation. He is rejoicing in the God of his salvation in one Psalm and...lamenting over his hardships in the next.

God has given the Psalms for us to identify with David, a spiritual giant; to understand that we are human...and the problems we face in this troubled world are normal...even for a King.

Trouble abounds;
In the most unlikely places, at the most untimely hour....as if...     they spun a web for you.

God waste no pain.
Even when we lose our composure, His purpose is that we never lose our confidence;
We learn that God is faithful....and, that we are never tempted above that which we are able. He will provide a way of escape.
