Luke 15:17-18
New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
This son of mine was dead; and is alive again.
That's the ultimate FIX
We can find our missing piece in another soul mate; our life can take on a new meaning with the love of another; we can feel invincible through the bond of a relationship. But all these pale in comparison to the completion we find in the forgiveness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The power of Christ is in His ability to forgive sins and to bring us into holy union with God.
In sin we are dead. In Christ we are born again into new life.
To receive this new life gives us the right to be called children of God.
To receive this new life gives us the right to be called children of God.
All our iniquity and transgressions separate us from God. Our sin divides us from Him. Through Christ we find a new birth and a cleansing from all that separates us from the Father. We are now brought near to God as his children.
Jesus says, "Come to me...I will FIX YOU."
