1 Peter 2:8-10

“A stone of stumbling,
    and a rock of offense.”

They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. ¹⁰ Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Today is a brand new day. The sunrise has brought forth a new awakening and new dawning in the fellowship of His grace and peace.

Through a personal relationship with Christ...we are lifted out of the surly bonds of darkness into His marvelous light.

Christ Jesus is light...and love...and peace.

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Living joyously in the light means freedom from shame, guilt, and fear. Lovers of the light define those who are at peace with themselves and with God.
