11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. 12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. Have you ever heard a true Jazz session? Well you're about to.
Jazz music is about the unique contribution and response to rhythm from each instrument. That's why true jazz does not have a soloist. The emphasis is to be on the blending of a unit; not a focus on one.
The body of Christ; working as it should is like great jazz music. The body; all working together; like music that knows no boundaries.
The working of the church; as each part of the body fulfills their work; makes a harmony of work and worship that fulfills the great commandment and great commission of our lord.
Ephesians 4:16
