A Thousand Years - Christina Perri

Revelation 20:4-6
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God.They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Its hard to imagine loving someone for a thousand years. Its harder still to imagine reigning with Christ, on earth for a thousand years.

This occurs prior to heaven with the gates of pearl, walls of jasper, and streets of gold. According to scripture, the beloved saints of God; all those who've received Christ Jesus as Lord and savior; the children of God, will occupy the entire earth and rule over all its inhabitants.

This era is where the lion will play with the lamb; the child will lay at the den of the adder; the curse upon the world and all the evil that comes as the result of sin and fallen mankind will be lifted.

Just imagine 1,000 years on earth when all the bad stuff doesn't exist. In that day, their will be a reversal of what you see now. Satan will not tempt (he will be locked up in the abyss), doors unlocked, sickness will be extinct, sorrow and sadness will be a faint memory.

I'm not skilled enough to explain all the details of the Millennial Reign, but I believe in it. It appears to be a thousand years of paradise on earth. A season to enjoy the royal reign on earth of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Jesus Christ our Savior.
