Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks

Matthew 26:38-40

New International Version (NIV)
38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

Even our Lord needed others...especially on the night of His betrayal and arrest.

Peter, James, and John couldn't grasp the importance of Jesus' request. Weariness and their own needs were more important at the time. They failed Him that evening in the garden; one they would never forget.

At times...we simply need each other. It may be to sit and talk or pray; or perhaps to just be there....not speaking but listening.

Help bear someones burden.
